I am a painter in watercolour and acrylics based in Surrey, UK. I paint landscapes and figurative subjects in a loose and vibrant style, and draw inspiration from mood and atmosphere in the world around me. I exhibit locally regularly and my work is gaining in popularity.

I trained at Maidstone College of Art and The University of Wales, Aberystwyth. I was inspired by the work of the artists I studied as a student, particularly the impressionists and photographers who used their medium to convey mood and emotion.
After a career in graphic design & communications I re-started my career as an artist.
Now, I am inspired by modern watercolourists who push the boundaries of the medium. My goals are to find new surprises by combining persistence with experimentation and ‘happy accident’.
